One prompt. Two pages.

Build a website for a burger restaurant. Left, an agent on its own. Right, the same agent with Off-Template.

Ember & Bun, made by an agent alone: dark page, a drawn cartoon burger with a Since 2014 sticker, a condensed two-colour headline and a status pill
20floor failures. Agent alone: Ember & Bun
Halfway, made with Off-Template: char-brown page, a tilted heavy headline, and a round fisheye photo of a burger cut in half in front of the food truck
0floor failures. With the skill: Halfway

sloplint ships with the skill and ran on both pages, rebuilt on 26 October 2026 with the current skill and the same model. The person answered the brief and picked the direction. The skill page is a first screen only, at the person’s request, so it had less code to get wrong. 19 of the 20 failures on the left are colours written outside tokens.

Four stops. You decide each one.

  1. The brief.

Four questions with options to click. The palette comes from a real object you name.

  2. Three directions.

Grey skeletons and a coloured mockup each, after research on real sites in your niche.

  3. The decisions.

Every choice in one block, before a line of code.

  4. The review.

A lint at five widths, the 13 tells, and a reviewer that never saw the chat. You judge last.

The 13 tells it checks for.

Then ask for a site the way you always do. The skill stops at the brief and waits for you.

Give your agent a memory.

The Obsidian logo, spelled with the starter vault’s note names. Obsidian and its logo are trademarks of Dynalist Inc.

Agents forget everything between sessions. The vault is a folder of notes where the skill keeps your rules, the niches it researched and the styles it already used, so the next site starts from the last one and never repeats it.

  1. Install Obsidian. Free, on Windows, Mac, Linux and phones. It shows the notes as a graph and lets you edit the rules by hand.

  2. Say yes when the skill offers the vault. It offers once, when something would be lost, and creates the folder for you.

  3. Open that folder as a vault. It already has real mistakes, wins and a researched niche in it.

Plain Markdown: the skill works without Obsidian, and without a vault.
